2 years ago, I bought a special gift for my mom’s birthday: a month of Spanish classes with Eric, completely from scratch. My mom knew only a few words, besides she speaks Polish.

I didn’t have any doubt the class would be a success, since Eric is an admired and experienced teacher, and a dear friend as well. However, my mom was quite nervous, since they did not have any language in common in order to explain things. There were two options: Polish, or Spanish:)

A good teacher will find a way to overcome the language barrier. An awesome teacher like Eric will create a safe space and make you feel comfortable, where you speak and you don’t even realize it.

Two years have passed since my mom started the lessons, and she has never wanted to stop. The classes with Eric are her greatest joy and Spanish has become her passion. She realized she can do it, and that by learning the language she can feel confident when speaking, connect a lot more deeply with its culture and people, and make meaningful connections with family and friends in Spain and Mexico.

Eric is more than a Spanish teacher. He becomes your companion in getting to know the Mexican culture, in turning mistakes into opportunities, in discovering your strengths, and, in fulfilling your dreams that are behind your idea to learn a language.

Eric accompanied me for over 4 years after my year abroad in Mexico and supported me in my preparations for the DELE B2 and the C1 certificate. For me personally, however, the following is worth even more than the certificates: Eric's input on culture, politics, society, economy and current developments in the Latin American region. As a student, I was able to coordinate my interests with our teaching content, which made our lessons particularly exciting.
